Pioneer porn film maker Russ Meyer has died at the age of 82.
The American icon began churning out his films in 1959 at a time when they were considered heavily pornographic.
Scenes of voluptuous naked women and violence shocked audiences, but there was little actual sex.
Meyer films such as Vixen (1968) and Faster Pussycat, Kill! Kill! (1969) earned the producer huge sums of money.
And they also saw debate surrounding his work raised as part of university courses.
Meyer, who died in his Hollywood home on Saturday, left no survivors from his three marriages.
