Alec BaldwinAlec BaldwinAre things beginning to quieten down after one of Hollywood's most acrimonious divorces?

It seems that there might be a small torch at the end of the tunnel for Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger.

The couple, who split in 2000, have been sworn enemies ever since, as they battled for custody of their daughter.

But now it seems that Alec has given a slight flutter of the white flag during an interview on Larry King.

Speaking about Kim he said: "My ex-wife was somebody who was funny and she was fun... and she was a lot of fun to be with.

"She was a great, great person. And then all of a sudden I think we just wanted to live different lives.

Kim BasingerKim Basinger"But I think she's a great mother, yes, good mom."

This comes after Alec accused his ex of refusing to obey by the terms of court-imposed custody and attempting to turn their daughter Ireland against him.

But he now accepts he's won as much custody as he thinks is fair: "I have what I have now. I have the orders that I have now."

Is this some sort of truce? My, we hope so.
