Alex CurranAlex CurranAlex Curran has spoken out.

About her terrifying burglary ordeal earlier this week.

Four masked men confronted Alex in her Liverpool home on Tuesday night, while her footballer hubby Steven Gerrard was away playing in Europe.

Alex, who was with her children, Lilly-Ella, three, and one-year-old Lexie at the time of the raid, was unharmed but shaken in what Merseyside police describe as "a confrontational burglary."

Alex told the Daily Mirror:

"It was absolutely terrifying, a horrendous experience. Lily and Lexie were my biggest concern. Thankfully they're fine as they managed to sleep through the whole thing."

Her fella Steven told reporters: "Alex is a bit shaken up, but she's OK. Nobody has been hurt and that's the main thing. I'm just relieved."

As well as jewellery, the men escaped with a Rolex watch and two sets of car keys.

Police are linking the burglary with six other raids at the homes of Liverpool players over the past 18 months.

A spokesman for Liverpool FC said: "The club takes this extremely seriously "

"We will be looking at ways to provide cover for the players' houses while they are away with the club on domestic and international duty."
