There's nothing worse than being caught up in the moment - getting all ahead of yourself and over excited - only to find that perhaps things need to slow down a bit.
And now it seems that Sienna Miller is of the same opinion with reports that she wants to just steady Eddie as far as her relationship with Jude Law goes.
According to The Sun, the 23-year-old actress is keen to keep the wedding plans in the future while she decides whether she really wants to tie the knot.
And recent reports that Jude is all set to go on a family holiday with his ex-wife, Sadie Frost, and their three children won't be helping matters.
However, perhaps like many brides-to-be, Sienna is just having last minute second thoughts about 32-year-old Jude, but a source told the paper:
"Sienna is having serious doubts about this wedding.
"Jude is becoming very disapproving of her partying while he's away. He even texted Sienna from America on the night of the Baftas telling her to go home.
"Jude no longer seems to be the man Sienna once thought he was. They've been apart for weeks on end and Jude has become very protective.
"He is desperate to set a date for the wedding but Sienna is telling pals she needs more time."
With Jude due back from New Orleans this week - where he's been filming All The King's Men - the couple should be able to spend some quality time together.
