The move comes after the singer voluntarily attended a meeting with police on Friday evening.

She was held overnight at the station in central London.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police confirmed that Amy has been cautioned, meaning that she has admitted to the charge of common assault and now has a criminal record.

The offence in question took place during the early hours of a night out on Wednesday.

It reportedly involved Amy attacking two other men as she went to hail a taxi in Camden, North London.

Amy went to discuss the incident with officers at Holborn police station on Friday.

Sky News report that she was held overnight, after police and doctors determined she was not in a fit state to be questioned straight away.

She’s has now left the police station and will face no further action over the attack.
