And Anna wants to keep it that way.
She's hired a northern nanny so her daughter grows up with an accent.
Anna's from the north of Blighty - Rochdale, Lancs, to be precise.
But since she's moved to Hollywood with her boyf, David Thewlis, and their two-year-old daughter, Gracie, she's scared of her wee girly becoming Yankie-fied.
Anna told the Daily Mirror: "I know my roots and where I'm from - I'm northern and I always will be. Now Gracie's talking with northern mannerisms.
"She's like, 'Eh up, Mummy doesn't like it like that, Mummy likes things neat in't trailer.' She's adorable."
We love it too, what with a fair few of the Shedders hanging on to their northern twangs too.
