Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway has beaten BBC1's Doctor Who in the ratings for the first time.
The last instalment of their current run of the ITV1 show peaked with 9.1 million viewers, when Ant McPartlin was forced to do a Bushtucker Trial by sidekick Declan Donnelly.
An average of 7.1 million viewers tuned in to their show, compared to seven million for Doctor Who, which peaked at 7.6 million - the lowest rating for the series.
Ant was quoted in The Mirror as saying: "It's made the trial worthwhile, knowing so many were watching."
Next week, Doctor Who - which had 9.9 million viewers at its launch - will be up against ITV1's Celebrity Wrestling.
Meanwhile, Scottish actor David Tennant has been cast as the new Doctor Who.
The 33-year-old star will play the 10th Time Lord alongside Billie Piper, who plays assistant Rose.
