Ashlee's Marital Natter

She's been waxing lyrical about her engagement to Pete Wentz.

Though she does admit, the proposal was a lil' unexpected...

"I didn't know I'd be getting married right now, but I'm so happy to be!" Ashlee gushed to Ryan Seacrest on his US radio show KIIS-FM.

The happy lass was bursting with pride on her ring bling, saying: "It's definitely a big diamond! I go, 'Oh, my God, I can't believe its on my hand!'"Weddings and Engagements 2008

But when it came around to the subject of how her future hubby Pete actually proposed, Ashlee played more coy.

She said: "That part I am keeping sacred... but I will tell you that it was very thoughtful, and he did a great job."

Pete and Ashlee's sudden engagement had sparked wild rumours that Ash might be preggers, but radio host Ryan skirted around the issue in subtle fashion, by asking Ash whether she'd be drinking alcohol during an upcoming stay in New York.

"Who knows? Maybe," was Ash's reply.
