Ashley's Ring Shock

Ashley Cole nowSo, we heard they were getting things back on track.

But what's the latest for Ashley Cole and wife Cheryl?

Well, Ashley's been spotted out and about...

 Without his wedding ring.

Ash was caught on camera (left) coming out of a petrol station, with a bit of bling conspicuously absent from his left hand.

Just what does this mean, we wonder?

Does it spell further relationship trouble in the Ash-Cheryl Cole saga?

Or did he just take the ring off for footie practice?

We've not seen Cheryl wearing her wedding ring since allegations of Ash cheating on her surfaced in the tabloids.

But Ash continued to wear his in the immediate aftermath of the drama in January, as pictured below.

To add to the confusion, the Daily Mirror report that Ash brought a loada perfume from a posh department store immediately after the above (ringless) snap was taken - presumably a smelly pressie for Chezza.

So all in all, it's very confuddling - a case for Showbiz Sherlock, wethinks.
