Things got more than complicated for Canadian rock chick Avril Lavigne when she fell victim to an explosive prank.
She was left in floods of tears after the stunt on Ashton Kutcher's cult MTV show Punk'd.
The popstar had just parked her car, but once she was out of sight Kutcher's team leapt into action.
They blocked in Avril's motor with another car, forcing her to help an attendant move the offending vehicle on her return.
Bad move.
The car rolled out of control, crashing in flames and engulfing a neighbouring motorbike for good measure.
The shocked singer fought back tears as owners of the bike and car yelled abuse.
And there was no happy ending when Kutcher popped up to reveal the prank.
She was so distressed, she burst into tears.
