Teen rock chick Avril Lavigne is to walk up the aisle, it has been rumoured.
According to reports, the 19-year-old Canadian has said "yes" to her fella Deryck Whibley of Sum 41.
The punk rocker apparently popped the question when the pair were spending time together in California at the weekend.
Pals of the couple say Avril, who hit the big time with Sk8r Boi, is proudly showing off her engagement ring.
One said: "Avril has had a grin on her face ever since. She's really excited."
But while Avril's camp is refusing to make any comments on her personal life, spokesmen for Deryck are denying any truth in the story.
His management team said: "Deryck Whibley is not engaged."
They added: "Deryck and his friends are constantly followed by paparazzi.
"The recent 'breaking news' that has been misconstrued around the world exemplifies the media's constant invasion of people's personal lives and reporting of unsubstantiated rumours and/or appearances."
Fans hoping Avril would clear the matter up at this week's World Music Awards in Las Vegas were left dazzled by a whopping diamond ring on the crucial finger.
