Baftas: Full Winners List 2006

Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal in Brokeback MountainFour times nominated George Clooney went home gongless and Brit flick The Constant Gardener didn't capitalise on its whopping ten nominations.

In the end the 2006 Baftas belonged to Brokeback Mountain.

The tale of two cowboys in love took four awards, Memoirs Of A Geisha took three Baftas and low budget breakthrough film Crash bagged two.

Acting-wise, Reese Witherspoon and Philip Seymour Hoffman were honoured for their leading roles, while Jake Gyllenhaal and Zambian born Brit star Thandie Newton were noted for their supporting roles.

With such runaway success at the Golden Globes and the Baftas, will Brokeback be victorious at the Oscars too?
