David Beckham has been added to the Live 8 line-up - but he won't be attempting to sing.
The England football star will instead introduce pal Robbie Williams onstage at the Hyde Park spectacular on July 2, reports The Sun.
Robbie, the paper claims, asked Becks to do it when they met up at a Hollywood party recently.
And after some gentle persuasion from wife Victoria, he agreed.
An insider said: "Robbie said it was a shame David couldn't be involved somehow and the idea just popped into his head.
"David seemed a bit nervous at first... it won't be a long speech, but he will have something important to say."
It is the second coup of the weekend for the event after prog-rock legends Pink Floyd agreed to get together for the first time for more than 20 years for the show.
Meanwhile it has been revealed two million people entered the text lottery for one of the 150,000 pairs of Live 8 tickets, raising £3m in the process.
