The French-born actress is on a list of bright young things in the running for the Orange Rising Star Award which will be handed out at February's Bafta ceremony.
But Eva perhaps shouldn't be shaking open the champers just yet, as she faces some tough competition.
English girl in Hollywood, Emily Blunt, is on the list of nominees after an impressive and bitchy turn in The Devil Wears Prada.
Emily already has a Golden Globe nomination for her role opposite Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway in the fashion flick.
Quirky Brit boy Ben Whishaw, whose stint playing Hamlet at the Old Vic launched him into a stellar film career, is also nominated for the Orange Prize after landing the lead role in forthcoming film Perfume.
Irish gorgeous fella Cillian Murphy could also swipe the silverware following his much applauded appearance in The Wind That Shakes The Barley.
And Naomie Harris is also staking a claim for the award, after hopping over the Atlantic from the UKto appear in the Pirates Of The Caribbean films and Miami Vice.
The winner is voted for by filmgoers and the victor will be stepping up to the podium on Sunday 11th February.
The other nominees will be announced on Friday 12th January.
