But the rumour mill has cranked into action again, even after Angelina Jolie insisted she and Brad Pitt would never marry.

The latest whisper is that the pair, who are expecting their first baby together, have booked a swish hotel in romantic Lake Como, Italy.

The gossip has come from Italian newspaper Il Corriere Di Como with claims they are planning a week's stay at five-star Villa D'Este from March 12th.

It was also reported that the venue was recommended by Brad's close pal George Clooney.

But George rubbished the rumours when he was questioned on the red carpet at Sunday's Bafta Awards.

"So you better tell your helicopters not to fly over the hotel, they should fly over my house instead."

And even the hotel's manager has denied that there is a firm booking. Whatever that means...

Angelina recently told US tabloid The Globe:

"We will never marry... Brad is going through a divorce and I've been divorced twice, so it's not something we're considering."

The couple are reported to be big fans of Italy after filming Mr & Mrs Smith there, before Brad split with then wife Jennifer Aniston.
