It was one of the most controversial splits in showbiz.
But even though Brian McFadden and Kerry Katona seemed to have moved on with their lives, things look set to get very nasty indeed.
Brian has said he will take his estranged wife to court for custody of their children Molly, four, and Lilly Sue, three.
He told Heat magazine: "I am appealing for full custody of the kids, as she is an unfit mother who is using our kids as a weapon."
He also told New! magazine: "I've been driven to this. If I have to drop any bombshells about Kerry in court to get my kids then I am prepared to do that."
Kerry, however, has hit back, saying: "I'll fight him every step of the way."
Brian, who has been dating Delta Goodrem since 2005, explained why he was taking such drastic action, saying:
"Every time I try making any plans to see them, Kerry sends letters through her lawyers, making demands that will be impossible for me to meet, like, 'You have to see the kids on these dates.'"
Kerry said in reply: "The last thing I would want is for Brian not to see the children.
"I lost out myself on having a father around when I grew up and would naturally hate for my daughters to experience what I want through.
"But with the girls in school, Brian should not expect to see them at the drop of a hat, wherever and whenever it suits him."
Brian and Kerry met in 1999, married three years later and split up in 2004. They are waiting for their divorce to be finalised.
