You appear to have shaved all your hair off.

In a dramatic new twist in the soap opera that Britney's life has become, she's given herself a radical new makeover.

And slightly good on her - those dark hair extensions were pretty bad.

Although her new style is a little harsh and perhaps shocking to some, it's less offensive than the pantless look.

It's fair to say that our favourite poplet has been struggling to focus since her split from Kevin Federline in November 2006.

So it was with relief that we heard news she'd checked into rehab in Antigua last week.

But then reports began to circulate that she checked herself out after 24 hours.

Britney just days before shaving her hair offAlthough none of the rehab rumours have been confirmed (or denied) by Brit's people, it now appears that she headed back to California on Friday night and popped herself into Esther's Haircutting Studio in Tarzana... for a snip.

The owner of the salon, Esther Tognozzi, did try and persuade the pop star to rethink her radical decision, but Britney was adamant and grabbed the clipper to give herself her very own buzz cut.

"I tried to talk her out of it. I said, 'Are you sure you're not having a bad day and tomorrow you'll feel differently about it? Why don't we wait a little bit?'," Esther revealed.

"She said 'No, I absolutely want it shaved off now'. Next thing I know, she grabbed the buzzer and she went to the back of my salon and she was shaving off her own hair."

Bold move.

However, Esther did admit that once the hair was off, a teary Britney said: "My mom is going to freak."

She then went to a tattoo parlour and got herself a pair of pink and red lips etched onto her wrists.

Boy, this girl sure knows how to grab a headline.
