Britney SpearsBritney Spears leaving the courtIt's a red-letter week for Britney Spears.

The star has won the right to spend more time with her two children.

This follows a closed hearing at a Los Angeles court where Britney's laywers were believed to have campaigned for more visitation rights for the star.

Her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, currently has legal and physical custody of the children.

Following the hearing, Britney did not comment, but K-Fed's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, said Britney had been granted greater visitation rights.

However, he did not let on as to exactly how much more time the star is entitled to spend with her boys - Sean Preston and Jayden James.

Mark told the media: "We are pleased with the progress that seems to be occurring.

"It's a cautious step but a step nonetheless. The (visitation) modifications will be phased in (in) the near future."

According to TMZ, Brit will now reportedly get three days of supervised visits with her boys each week.

A statement from Britney's parents, Jamie and Lynne, was read out by an LA court spokesperson, Allan Parachini, which said: "We are so pleased with Britney's progress and we are very  pleased with the court's recognition of this progress."

Congrats to Brit.
