Sources at the UCLA Medical Center, where Brit is staying, have told TMZ that Britney has been classified as "GD" - Gravely Disabled.

To boil it down for you, that means the patient is unable to take care of basic needs, such as getting food, clothing or shelter.

Being GD is one of the criteria for involuntary commitment.

They also reported that she arrived at the hospital at around 2.15am (LA time) yesterday morning, but wasn't admitted until 4.15am because she was causing such a scene in the hospital.

According to peeps on the scene, Britney shouted: "The only reason she's admitting me is because she wants to be alone with her boyfriend. She wants to sleep with my boyfriend."

But Brit never said exactly who she was talking about.

When Brit calmed down, she talked about her kids, how much she misses them and how it's unfair that she doesn't have them.
