Brit's Mum Fall-Out

Britney SpearsFamilies can be tricky things...

And each is prone to a feud from time to time.

Just ask the Spears bunch.

It's been reported that Britney has passed on a rather upsetting letter to her mum.

But Lynne Spears is hoping they can patch things up.

She told People magazine: "Everything is going to be fine.

"I've got a strong family, and everything is going to be fine."

She also said that "hopefully" Brit will make it home for the 4th July holiday.

But we ain't too sure that Britney has the same idea.

She seemed a little less keen, saying of her mother: "I'm praying for her right now. (I hope) she gets all the help she needs."

Lynne SpearsBrit chatted to reporters about whether or not she can clear the air with her mother: "In time, who knows what will happen?"

But her mum shouldn't hold her breath for her daughter's appearance on Independence Day...

Asked if she'd be heading back to the homestead, Brit replied: "I don't know. I like it here."

According to TMZ, this whole feud started with a letter from Brit's lawyers saying that Lynne should steer clear of Britney's sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, if she's taking any medications that might cause her to be impaired.

But a family friend, who believes Britney is just trying to get back at her mum, told People: "I think Britney is angry that her family got involved in getting her into rehab."
