Hearthrob Colin Farrell would make the perfect James Bond, according to Pierce Brosnan.
The former 007 star said his fellow Irishman would "eat the heads off" other possible contenders for the coveted role.
He said several actors could ably fill his shoes, but added: "I'll give it to Colin Farrell."
Farrell, 28, appeared with Tom Cruise in the 2002 sci-fi thriller, Minority Report, and has the title role in Oliver Stone's upcoming Alexander.
Brosnan, who first starred as Bond in 1995 with GoldenEye and last appeared in 2002 in Die Another Day, made his remarks following an entertainment awards ceremony in Dublin this Saturday.
He also said he was discussing a collaboration with director Quentin Tarantino, who is considering making a film of the Bond novel Casino Royale.
