Cate Blanchett has had a right royal time of it.
She had the pleasure of meeting Prince Philip.
But the Queen's hubby put his foot in it - and mistook our Cate for someone else entirely.
Prince Philip thought Cate was a bit of a techie.
He reckoned she worked with film equipment and asked her how to fix his DVD player.
Cate had introduced herself to the prince as working "in the film industry".
A courtier said later: "The prince began discussing his DVD player, which he said was broken.
"He said, 'There's a cord sticking out of the back. Might you tell me where it goes?'"
Whoops.
A Buckingham Palace spokesman told the Daily Mirror: "We do not comment on private conversations.
"The Duke of Edinburgh meets so many people on engagements. These are often film stars."
