Helping to rack up the bulb bill are a number of celebs - some brighter than the actual lights.  

Down Hollywood way, the likes of Lucy Liu and Whoopi Goldberg flexed their fingers to help illuminate dark winter streets.

But that's not to say we've been hard done by.

In the UK, we've had Westlife light up London's Oxford Street, G4 plug in the Covent Garden Christmas tree and in Cardiff Billie Piper and David Tennant were on-hand to flick the switch.

It's almost as exciting as unwrapping your pressies on Xmas morning.
