Cos they're sure running riot in Celebville.
Forget diamonds, free publicity - a shot at an Oscar, even...
What stars want, what they really, really want, is a trusty canine companion.
Some friendly mutt who they can dress up, pop in their handbag or take around town with them.
It'll look cute and what's more it'll never answer back.
Take Paris Hilton and her pooches.
It's no wonder she hearts them so much. She can dress them up and spoil them, and they play the part to perfection.
They never break engagements or unearth a sex tape - unlike some peeps in Paris' life we can think of.
And even when celebs don't actually own the pooch in question, they're more than happy to indulge in their kind side and cuddle up for a photo shoot - it's perhaps the only instance where they're happy to be outshined.
