But all good things come to an end.

It appears Marc Bannerman's outback liaison with singer Cerys Matthews has run its reality course.

Their rapidly blossoming flirtation on I'm A Celebrity... last year had viewers hooked.

Not least because Marc already had a girlfriend - Sarah Matravers - of two years back home, who publicly dumped him as his romance with Cerys gathered pace.

After leaving the jungle, Marc and Cerys declared their mutual affection, with Marc even travelling to Cerys' native Wales for a loved up reunion.

But after a flying start, it may have been a case of too much too soon for the couple, who were last seen publicly together on the set of Al Murray's Happy Hour in early January.

Marc's mum Dolores Noronha confirmed the split to the newspaper, saying: "It's finished with Cerys. He's very upset, very down."

Meanwhile, Marc's ex Sarah has apparently found new love in the form of TV producer Ian Stewart.

"If Marc thinks he can go crawling back to Sarah, he's much too late. She's loved up and planning a new future with Ian," a source said.

Ouch.
