Charlie Gives Den Approval

So in the midst of all the claws and catfights, it's refreshing to hear actor Charlie Sheen is keeping things amicable with his ex-wife, Denise Richards.

In fact, Charlie has given his blessings to Denise and her new beau, Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora.

Appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, he said: "Well, at least I knew the guy that she wound up with, Richie.

"To know that it's somebody decent and smart and a good parent to be around your children, that's a good thing."

Charlie, 40, also told Ellen he's keeping things positive with Denise, 35, for the sake of his two daughters Sam, two, and Lola, one.

Denise Richards and Richie SamboraHe told Ellen: "We're trying to put all that nonsense aside and just do what's right for the children and just be good responsible parents."

Denise filed for divorce in March 2005, after three years of marriage with Charlie.

She started dating Richie in April 2006.
