There we were still celebrating the fact that Charlie Brooks was returning to EastEnders.
But recent news has made our heads hang a tad low.
What's rattled our soap cage?
Well, according to The Sun, Charlie's return to the show as Janine Butcher may be short-lived.
Charlie told the paper: "I'm going back for a year and I'm sure there will be fireworks.
"But after that I want to try new things."
Well, we reckon a year is more than enough time to stir up some trouble in Albert Square, but if you fancy staying a bit longer, Charls, that would make our day.
