Brooke is an estage agent and the pair have been dating for a year.
People says the engagement, first reported on by Extra, has been confirmed by a Sheen family friend.
They say Charlie popped the big question in style on a Costa Rican beach, with the ring's price tag allegedly nearing the £250,000 mark.
Charlie's divorce from ex-wife Denise Richards was finalised at the end of last year.
