Clive's Dale Days Over?

Clive HornbyEmmerdale may have to bid farewell to its stalwart, Jack Sugden, played by Clive Hornby.

This follows reports that Clive has pulled out of the soap.

The Daily Mirror claims Clive might be quitting the soap due to ill health.

They say he has filmed episodes to be broadcast up to mid-February.

But while the nature of his illness hasn't been confirmed, an Emmerdale spokesperson denied he was leaving the show:

"We can confirm that Clive is unwell but fully intends to return to work."

He joined the show in 1980, making him the longest-serving actor on the show.

Let's hope he gets better asap and returns.
