Vera Duckworth, what will we do?
Vera, played by Liz Dawn, has died and gone to soap heaven.
And left behind a devasted Jack (Bill Tarmey).
Liz has had to lay her perm to rest after she revealed last summer that she's suffering from lung disease emphysema.
Liz said: "It was very emotional filming Vera's death scenes but I do think it is the right decision for the character.
"I have had 33 marvellous years in Coronation Street and will miss everyone very much."
Bill added, "Liz is a wonderful woman. I have worked with her for 29 years and we have never had a cross word."
V's exit from Weatherfield will be shown in a Corrie double bill at 7.30pm and 8.30pm tonight.
