But this latest splurge really takes the biscuit.

He bought Victoria Beckham and the rest of the Spice Girls a bracelet each.

But not just any ol' bangles - oh no - they were £50,000 diamond-encrusted bracelets.

Apparently that's how to calm a girl's nerves.

Posh told the Daily Mirror: "He knows I'm really nervous about him seeing me back on stage, so he bought us all these bracelets for good luck.

"It's like the old days. David spent a lot of time around the girls when we first got together - it's as though he married all of us. He's the original Spice Boy."

David added of being at the Girls' first reunion show: "I've got a broken rib at the moment but I've had them before and nothing would have stopped me coming.

"I am so, so proud of Victoria and of all of them. The outfits are amazing - I hope she brings some home."

But don't go thinking he's got off the hook that easy, David still has a job to do on the SG's tour.

"I've got a few months off from football, so I just said to the girls: 'I've got a camera, do you want me to do it?' They thought it was a great idea."
