We've heard some excuses for people being unfaithful in our time.
But we've never heard someone blame their teenage acne.
I'm A Celebrity... contestant Dean Gaffney has said he was unfaithful to his long-term girlfriend because he was teased so much as a spotty teenager.
The actor reckons that once he landed his EastEnders gig all those years ago, the fame and fortune went to his head.
So, he "went out and had some fun".
He told fellow jungle contestant David Gest: "I was a red-blooded heterosexual male.
"I was young and had immense fame at my feet because I was in a show watched by 20 million people.
"I used to get knocked by everyone for the way I looked when I was 15 years old.
"I had a couple of spots round my face, little acne spots, and I was always ridiculed.
"So the fact that I could go out and get all this attention was what I thrived on."
However, Dean's girl Sarah Burge, with whom he has 10-year-old twins, stuck by him despite his naughtiness.
Dean, 28, added: "She took it bad. I wasn't going from bed-to-bed but I took her for granted.
"It takes a bigger man to admit it."
