Then, it seemed that another reality show had won over Denise Van Outen for presenting duties.
The 31-year-old was due to co-present the BBC's new talent show How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?
The programme will see hopefuls giving it their all for the chance to play The Sound Of Music's singing nun Maria, in the West End.
But now, Denise has quit the show to follow her own dream of success - in Hollywood.
An insider told the Daily Mirror: "She is disappointed but things are really taking off for her there.
"She has been given a chance to make a name for herself in the US and she wants to give it her all.
"There are lots of things in the pipeline but she doesn't want to say anything yet in case she jinxes it."
