However, the couple have denied the reports which followed their first public appearance as a couple, at the Fashion Rocks concert in New York.

Denise, the estranged wife of Charlie Sheen, and Bon Jovi guitarist Richie were seen hand-in-hand as her bling shone out.

We were a little reluctant to start browsing the new season's hats... Denise was wearing the ring on the wrong hand for traditional engagement purposes.

Her attorney, Neal Hersh, told TMZ.com: "There is no truth to any rumours that Denise and Richie are engaged. They are not."
