Who would have thought that Doctor Who would be a bit of a fashionista?
Well, the tenth version of the Time Lord, as played by David Tennant, is set to be kitted out in what is commonly known as 'geek chic'.
Posing in a brown pinstriped suit, a long camel-coloured overcoat and some grubby baseball-style trainers, will the new Doctor have what it takes to battle deadly robot warriors?
Veering away from the leather jacket look sported by his predecessor Christopher Eccleston, David reckons the weedy image will work.
"We've come up with something distinctive for me, that's both timeless and modern, with a bit of geek chic and of course, a dash of Time Lord.
"And most importantly Billie tells me she like it. After all, she's the one who has to see me in it for the next nine months.
Billie Piper spoke of the new series, saying: "I'm thrilled to be stepping back into the role of Rose. We plan to make series two even bigger and better and challenge the viewers' imaginations like never before."
Writer Russell T Davis hinted at the storylines to come: "The Doctor and Rose are destined to meet Queen Victoria, an evil race of cat women, and the dreaded Cybermen. 2006 is going to be scarier than ever."
