It had looked to be all over for the retired Russian tennis pro and hot Spanish croonmeister...

But despite previous reports that they'd gone their separate ways after five years together, it seems the handsome couple ARE still an item.

Having overcome rumours that the pair had secretly wed in 2003, then again in 2005, Enrique was recently quoted as saying: "We've split. I'm single now and it's OK. I don't mind being single."

But... perhaps he meant they split the cost of dinner on their last date.

Or maybe he was talking about his tennis preference, as he just doesn't like to play doubles with Anna.

"No, there was a story saying we got married and divorced. I think we're still together. I've been away for two weeks, I'll have to check we're still together when I go back home, you know how things change, ha ha."
