Fearne Quits X Factor

Fearne CottonFearne Cotton will not present the next series of The X Factor.

She's flying the Blighty nest for the good ol' US of A instead.

The blondesome lass fronted one series of spin-off show The Xtra Factor on ITV2 last year, having taken over from the show's previous host Ben Shephard.

But she won't be repeating the experience - after landing a spot on an American show instead.

Fearne's set to co-host Last Comic Standing, a talent search for America's funniest comedians, to be aired on NBC in the States.

She will begin filming on the series this week and her rep has confirmed to Sky Showbiz she won't be returning to The X Factor.

But will Fearne be able to recreate the success of US-bound telly talent such as Cat Deeley and former co-star Simon Cowell? Watch this space, we say.
