Nicholas de Lacy-Brown Nicholas de Lacy-Brown So The Apprentice has started.

And we couldn’t be more thrilled.

Though naturally, there’s already a victim of the ruthless business comp.

Trainee barrister Nicholas de Lacy-Brown was the first mogul wannabe to hit the dust, after he mispriced fish for the boy’s team, Renaissance, during their first market-flogging task.

Yup, Nicholas found himself at the wrong end of Alan Sugar’s mighty firing finger, though he didn’t sound too gutted at the decision, saying:

"Sir Alan and I were like chalk and cheese and I felt like a fish out of water if you’ll excuse the pun.

"I soon realised it wasn’t really for me and so did Sir Alan. Being on the show definitely made me realise I’m a lawyer through and through."

Meanwhile the girl’s team Alpha were in high spirits after winning through in the fishy stakes.

Frankly we hardly cared about the action itself, though - we were just overcome with excitement at the return of this top, top show.

The minute the suspenseful theme tune started up and Alan Sugar appeared (helicopter in tow) declaring "Mary Poppins I’m not" in that gruff way of his, we were filled with delicious anticipation.

And it’s only going to get better, so bring on next week.
