Lisa KudrowLisa KudrowThe Friends spin-off Joey arrived in the UK to mixed reviews.

But there's even worse news for Matt LeBlanc's former co-star Lisa Kudrow when it comes to her post-Central Perk TV project.

In the self-penned comedy series The Comeback, Lisa swapped her quirky Phoebe Buffay character for Valerie Crush, a former sitcom star looking to make it big again.

The show, co-written with Will And Grace writer Michael King, saw the anti-hero Crush filmed in a mock documentary trying to rebuild her career.

But after 13 episodes, some so-so reviews and just 1.5 million viewing figures, the show's been axed by HBO.

"However, we looked at our schedule, and, given our future commitments, we felt we would not be able to give the show the support it needed."

Now's the time to start nudging Lisa towards that Smelly Cat spin-off.
