George clooney is not the kind of chap we imagine as a papa.
But could we soon be seeing it before our very eyes?
Well let's get the latest from his camp...
But first we need to put you straight, we're talking of the godfather parenting variety.
Rumours were rampant that George was going to be the godpops of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's new addition.
But George only has himself to blame - he sparked rumours when he joked to paps outside a LA restaurant that he had been asked by Brangelina to take on the role.
George's rep has now piped up and told Wenn: "He was just having a joke."
This is not the first time Georgie boy has quashed speco that he's been signed up to be an A-List star's godparent - he denied being godfather to Nicole Kidman's unborn bub just last month.
The question is, will he ever really be asked?
