But George Clooney scuppered his romantical plans.
... By pitching up at the table next to them, making Leo one happy lady.
Leona's mate told the Daily Mirror: "Lou went to such a huge effort to surprise her.
"But to have gorgeous George sit within five feet was the icing on the cake."
