Well it seems that Geri gave firefighters a shock when they were called to a trapped lift...

And found her stuck inside.

Geri was in a shopping centre heading for a spot of book-signing for her new read when events took a disasterous turn.

She and four fans on their way to the event got trapped in the WHSmith lift for 40 minutes.

Could you imagine? We're not sure we'd be too happy being trapped in a lift with Ginger Spice.

Sub Officer Dan Hyatt, who rocked up to Essex's Lakeside shopping centre, said: "We were all surprised that one of the people was Geri."

And of course Geri was appropriately attired in skimpy leopard-print shorts.

Not that Dan was complaining - he added that she was a "really nice lady".
