We always thought Gwyneth Paltrow and hubby Chris Martin were pretty rock solid.

But Celebville whisperings would suggest otherwise...

Rumours of marital strife kicked off after Gwynnie was spotted out on her lonesome at a Fashion Rocks event last week.

And according to the Daily Mail, when asked about Coldplay hubby Chris, the actress walked off without comment.

An inside source told RTE Entertainment: "It was like Gwyneth didn't want to talk about him. It was very strange. They haven't been out together for months."

Other media reports have suggested that a rift may be forming between the seemingly sorted couple because Gwynnie wants to return to America while Chris is happy to stay put in Blighty.

"Gwyneth and Chris as a policy do not talk about each other in the media, nor do they attend public functions together," a spokesperson for the pair said.

"They have not been apart all summer... and she does not want to move to America."
