Halle Berry is about to start a family with her boyf Gabriel Aubry.
But she's opened up about her own childhood - and it ain't picture perfect.
In fact, she's shared some of her memories and they're totally harrowing.
She spoke to James Lipton on US TV and told him how she had to watch her father beat her sister and mother.
Her parents divorced when she was four, but her father, Jerome, moved back when she was 10 because her mother thought her daughters needed a father figure.
Halle said: "It was the worst year of my life.
"The hard part for me was that he never abused me.
"I felt like a coward because I didn't do anything and I couldn't do anything."
