Heath Ledger Heath LedgerHeath Ledger’s family have spoken out...

They have said his daughter and Michelle Williams "will be taken care of".

What’s all of this about?

It follows news that details of Heath Ledger’s will have been released.

According to reports the will had not been updated since before his relationship with Michelle Williams and the birth of his daughter, Matilda Rose.

The New York Daily News reports that in the will, filed in 2003, Heath left everything to his sister and parents, and they say documents filed in a Manhattan court showed Heath had less than $145, 000 (around £75, 000) in assets at the time.

These assets apparently included a car worth $25, 000 (around £17, 500) and $20, 000 (£10, 000) in furniture and fixtures.

Now, Heath’s dad Kim has released a statement saying: "Matilda is our absolute priority and Michelle is an integral part of our family.

"They will be taken care of and that’s how Heath would want it to be."

Heath’s rep also released a statement saying: "The story is getting taken out of context and media is speculating that this means Matilda and Michelle will not be taken care of.

"I want to make it very clear nothing could be farther from the truth."
