We all hanker after the perfect little black dress but there are limits to how far most normal people will go.
Well, it seems others will stop at nothing to obtain their LBD of choice (and we're not talking about sleeping outside Harvey Nic's awaiting a new delivery).
So, when one of the most famous frocks from a film went under the hammer at Christie's auctioneers in London, there were no shortage of buyers.
The elegant cocktail dress which Audrey Hepburn wore in Breakfast At Tiffany's went for an astonishing sum of money.
The Givenchy fur-lined dress was sold to an anonymous telephone buyer for £410,000, six-times its estimate.
And rumours are already spreading that it might have been snapped up by Victoria Beckham or Coleen McLoughlin.
Both Wags are huge fans of the screen icon who wore the sleeveless dress in her role as Holly Golightly in the 1961 movie.
