So, who's the gal who worked her magic to land the part?

Say a big Hogwarts hello to 20-year-old Jessie Cave, who'll be playing the part of Lavender in Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince.

She's set to star in a CBBC drama called Summerhill, and in a movie called Inkheart, alongside Dame Helen Mirren.

Impressive stats, we do say.

Especially considering Jessie beat around 7000 other young hopefuls who pitched at the open auditions in London's Earls Court.

She must be, well, flying high.

But no whirls on your broomstick now, Jessie, not in the presence of muggles.
