Talk about being linked to a fan...
Hugh Grant got handcuffed against his will by an overzealous fan at a premiere.
It happened as Hugh was walking the red carpet and posing for pictures at the Dutch premiere of his new film, Music And Lyrics...
A brunette jumped forward and clamped a metal handcuff and chain on his left wrist, attaching herself to the actor.
A stunned and shocked (and newly single) Hugh was forced to walk the red carpet still chained to the woman.
He continued to sign autographs while literally dragging along his "ball and chain" for a full ten minutes.
An onlooker told the Daily Mirror: "It was incredible. She appeared from nowhere and Grant couldn't believe it was happening.
"But he was the ultimate professional. He just stood in silence and waited for the fire fighters to free him. He did look relieved when he disappeared into the theatre - she could have been a maniac."
Hugh was released after firefighters cut the chain. However, he spent the rest of the night still wearing one half of the handcuffs.
The woman, who was arrested and detained by Dutch police, was later identified as Cielke Sijben, a journalist working for a Dutch TV station.
