Hugh Grant has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
It happened after a photographer claimed Hugh turned on him in London...
Ian Whittaker told the Daily Star that Hugh threw a tub of baked beans at him on Tuesday...
The actor then proceeded to kick him, he claimed.
On Wednesday, cops arrested Hugh, then took him to the Notting Hill police station where he was questioned for an hour.
The police said in a statement to the press:
"A 46-year-old man was arrested in connection with allegations of assault on a 43-year-old man following an incident.
"He has been bailed to return pending further inquiries".
