The maturing models are in the running to present a new fashion show - and both are determined to get the gig.
Project Runway will be a Pop Idol-style satellite show for up-and-coming fashion designers.
And each beauty believes they can add the touch of glamour needed to make it a huge hit, according to the Daily Mail.
Elle, it reports, was initially favourite for the job, but Liz won't take no for an answer...
A source told the paper: "At first the programme makers were set on hiring Elle.
"But Liz wants to get the programme badly and she has been bombarding the producers with phone calls to sell herself.
"She has sent an unbelievably professional video presentation of her work, and has boasted that she can use her celebrity fashion contacts like Donatella Versace to add flavour to the show.
"It's very competitive. We just hope it doesn't put their friendship in jeopardy."
